# AI Visibility

Be the customer proof AI cites.

## The shift

Buyers no longer browse a page of links. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity who to trust, and the model composes a recommendation from the evidence it finds credible. You'll hear this practice called generative engine optimization (GEO) or answer engine optimization (AEO). Most "AI visibility" tools hand you a dashboard that tells you you're invisible. None of them give you the one thing that fixes it: credible proof worth citing.

## Why Shine gets cited

When AI answers from the sources it finds most credible, our bet is that credibility increasingly comes down to evidence an engine can stand behind: named people, real quotes, and concrete numbers. One verified, attributed claim should do more than a thousand anonymous stars.

- **Attributed, not anonymous:** every claim carries a real name, title, and company
- **Verified against the transcript:** the customer actually said it, on the record
- **Consented:** permission to use the proof is kept on file
- **Structured:** published with schema.org markup so crawlers and agents can parse who said what

## Where this is going

Every channel AI rewards eventually gets gamed. AI first leaned on the realest corners of the web: forums, communities, review threads, because they felt unfiltered. Now everyone floods them, the signal fills with noise, spam, and fake reviews, and the trust that made them useful erodes. Most ways to climb in AI are forms of gaming, and gaming is a treadmill: when the engines shift, the tricks reset to zero. Verifiable proof doesn't. The durable advantage shifts to what can't be faked: named, consented, first-party proof straight from the customer.

So Shine is designed to do both. Today, it helps you show up where AI already looks, turning verified customer stories into proof and reviews engines can cite. Over time, the goal is to become the source they trust most: first-party customer truth that can't be fabricated or gamed.

## The verification chain

Every claim is traceable to the moment it was said:

1. **Captured:** a real customer says it in a recorded, AI-led interview
2. **Verified:** the claim is extracted and confirmed against the transcript
3. **Consented:** the customer approves use, and consent is kept on the record
4. **Published:** shipped with structured data, readable by the web's crawlers and, increasingly, its agents

## The loop

Measuring AI visibility is becoming a commodity. The hard part, the part only a proof engine can do, is producing the verified evidence that moves the answer.

1. **Measure:** see where AI answers mention or miss you (rolling out)
2. **Diagnose:** find the claims and proof gaps holding back the citation (rolling out)
3. **Manufacture proof:** run interviews to capture the verified evidence that closes the gap (available today)
4. **Re-measure:** watch the verified proof show up in the answer, and attribute it (rolling out)

## Beyond a vanity metric

Almost nobody clicks through from an AI answer. The influence happens inside the recommendation. Shine doesn't chase referral traffic; it connects the claims AI cites back to the deals they help win, through Proof Operations and your CRM.
